The Legend of the Peña de los Enamorados
High above the rolling plains of Andalusia, near the town of Antequera, a great rock formation rises abruptly from the earth, its jagged cliffs bathed in golden sunlight at dawn and silhouetted against blood-red skies at dusk. Locals call it the Peña de los Enamorados, the “Rock of the Lovers.” Its name carries a story older than the stones themselves:
